In December of 2006, I was packing my bags to leave my comfort zone, in hopes of a more exciting future. I was about to fly to the Bay Area, a place that I hadn’t even visited before. My one-way ticket was, by far, the best decision I've made so far.
Almost a decade later, in July of 2016, I became a permanent resident of the United States and I got to do some fairly cool things too. (I purposely put this here, so you know that I won't need a visa sponsorship anymore...) I've done projects with Under Armour, Levi Strauss & Co., CVS, Keds, Tim Hortons, and I did design for Clara Shih's book.
One of my design strengths is that I'm super easy to get along with and to work with. I didn't realize this was a business-driving special skill, until I had to deal with engineers, product managers, third-party printing vendors, events organizers, a security guard, a CFO, etc. Also, given my background of working closely with go-to-market teams, I've become a more well-rounded designer who can make you wireframes and mockups, and also can see design from the business and product marketing perspectives.

My goal is to leave something memorable everywhere I go; to leave a good legacy. That, and to have my own toy company. Or to be a famous children’s book writer. In my free time, I love to make and eat food. As a former fat kid, I think food just tastes so much better to me than to others. I am one of the few who did not follow the yellow brick road. I followed the white rabbit instead.
